We Believe…
Jesus is Lord and that we are justified (made right with God) through faith.
In the Triune God:
God the Father created and loves all of creation - the earth and the seas, and all of the world's inhabitants.
God the Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his new resurrected life.
God the Holy Spirit is active in the world, filling us with faith and sending us forth to serve.
We are part of God's unfolding plan
When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere.
When we study the Bible or hear God's Word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God's own saving story.
Our teaching (theology) serves the proclamation and ministry of the Christian faith.
It does not have an answer for all questions, not even all religious questions.
Teaching (theology) prepares members to participate in God’s action of reconciling the world.
The Scriptures, Creeds, Confessions provide the foundation for our life in faith together.
Scriptures: The Old & New Testaments — All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. —2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NRSV)
Creeds: Apostles, Nicene, Athanasian
Confessions: Luther's Small & Large Catechisms, Book of Concord
A Lutheran approach to Christianity which is more about a way to live as Christians active in the world than a system of doctrines to believe.
That ALL ARE WELCOME to be members of our family of the faithful.
